I am a single mom from Grand Rapids, MI and I own a 13 year old English bull dog named Coco. She came from the West MI Bull dog rescue to me 8 years ago. She came from a very abusive home where she was kept in a crate for the first 4 years of her life, only to be taken out to be breed. She was on the top of her pediagree and had many litters. When I got her into my home she had not ever had any eye surgeries and because of this her eyelids had been rolled in for so long that she was just about blind. It was described to me like if you were to take a pair of glasses and rub them on the cement over and over again. Her back legs formed to the shape of the crate she was in, so they are bowed out as much or more than her front legs. After many x-rays the vet determined that she is in no pain from this and her bones just grew in the bow form instead of straight. She is a very sweet dog and has never bothered anyone and I am glad she has been able to live out the rest of her life in my home.
