I need help!!! My Archie had a severe seizure last night that lasted at least 5 complete minutes. His eyes were fully dilated and he was stiff as a board convulsing uncontrollably. During the seizure, I had enough time to wet a towel to clean the foam from around his mouth. I truly thought he wouldn't recover. He is nine years old and is currently taking Lasiks and Enalpril for his heart and blood pressure. Once he snapped out of it, he ate and acted as if nothing happened. The vet wants to put him on a medicine that he will have to take from now on, but I've been told that the medicine has just as much a chance of worsening the condition as it does helping. Are there any holistic ideas I can try. I know he doesn't have long, but I want him to go peacefully, not convulsing!!! Please advise!
