Hi ! oh dear, i wonder if Gus is experiencing stress from the move? dogs can feel stressed out by a new enviornment as much as we humans can. I would like you to post this on the forum so that other members can give you feedback and help you out! I do not like using the crate as a "time out" only b/c my boys will associate the crate as a negative thing rather than a positive/safe place. I'm glad you got him medically checked out to make sure there isn't something more going on.
