Hi there. Happy Holidays to you and yours. Jewel is almost off of injured reserve with one more week to go we hope. Her next appointment is next Wednesday and we are so looking forward to it as a belated Christmas present. We hope Tank and Nayla are doing OK. --rj

Hi Kyrie, Jewel is now 2 weeks post-op. She got her stitches out yesterday and the doctor said she is doing great on her rehabilitation (i.e. what we are doing at home). She has her 6-week check-up scheduled well in 4 weeks. At that time, if all things remain constant, she will be allowed short walks.

Jewel is doing some weight bearing on the sore leg but really hobbles after getting up from a nap.

Hi Kyrie, Yes it is possible. This is Jewel's 2nd turn at an ACL tear. She had her R hind leg done. There is not limp except after about 16 week post op. Jewel is 1.5 weeks post op and she is starting weight bearing on her leg but is limping pretty good when getting up from a nap. @agingermom 's Bertha Butt had surgery in your neck of the woods and maybe she can give you the ortho guy she saw.
