About Chloe

This sweet bully represents the full spectrum of animal rescue. She was seriously suffering when we got her from a very bad situation, and is now giving kisses, running "zommies" and embracing the concept of a bed!
Chloe was bred repeatedly and then dumped at St. Landry Parish Animal Control & Rescue with a very infected uterus and other serious health issues as a direct result of being bred. She was lethargic, depressed, and we didn't know what to expect from her personality. She has obviously bore many puppies, and likely dumped after the last litter. The good news is that our friends at ARK Animal Hospital nursed her back to health over the last month, she is now understanding loving human relationships for the first time, and has the green light for adoption!
Potential adopters should be aware that Chloe is still adjusting to life outside of a kennel in someone's yard. She needs encouragement, doesn't like to be left alone outside, and is also reluctant to go in her kennel sometimes. Every day she is getting a bit better though, and we are excited to watch her blossom. Chloe gets along well with other dogs, but is also socially awkward at times so dogs will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
