Tyson is a 2-year-old English bulldog who, sadly, is no stranger to the life of abandonment. Despite his charm, good manners, and endearing personality, his foster mom makes this family number 5 for him. His original owner went to prison and thus created a ripple effect of bad luck for Tyson. He has bounced around from home to home for the past year until finally landing at IBR.We want to make absolutely clear that despite this kiddoā€™s history of multiple families, it is entirely at the fault of humans getting in over their heads. Tyson is 100% housebroken & crate-trained, amazing with kids of all ages, and is the BEST snuggler. He is a perfect citizen and has the gentlest soul, but donā€™t think for a minute that heā€™s not up for a game of tug-o-war!He is truly the companion every dog-lover dreams of, which baffles us as to why heā€™s had such a tough go at it.It goes without saying that Tysonā€™s next home MUST be his forever home; so to ensure it, we want to shed light on a couple items. Like many bulldogs, Tyson has a pocket tail and some skin allergies. His previous owners did not intervene much with these issues and came to IBR with an infected pocket tail and sores all over his feet and face. He has since been to the vet who started him on antibiotics, eye drops, and topical creams for his skin. This dog is as good as new, but these areas will always need to be kept after.Tyson is a one-man rodeo and needs to be the only animal in the home. He is territorial when it comes to other doggos on his turf, yet shows almost no interest in them on walks or out in public. In return, he will love you and your family fiercely. And speaking of walks, he loves them more than life itselfā€¦ almost more than he loves his humans! He walks perfectly on a leash and is always up for a car ride where he can feel the wind in his face flaps. This is a special kid who deserves a place to finally call home. He a has a long life ahead of him and we canā€™t wait for him to find his happily-ever-after.
