Zena and Zorro came to IBR when their parents divorced. They are a truly bonded pair and will need to stay together.Zena is a large and in charge kind of gal. She weighs in at a lofty 69 pounds of pure sweetheart. She is eight years old and definitely the alpha of this duo. She makes the rules. If she wants sleep, they sleep, If she wants outside time, they go outside. Don’t be fooled by her implied alpha status though as Zena is a gentle giant. She is completely amicable with the other dogs in her foster home, pays zero attention to the kiddos running around and just goes with the flow.Zorro, on the hand, is a wee nugget at only 26 pounds. He is very meek and quiet, preferring to meander about on his own time and observe from afar, albeit never far from Zena. He is only four years old, has no known medical considerations to note other than typical bulldog seasonal allergies, and very docile with other dogs and children. He will, however, let out the loudest, most heart-wrenching cry you have likely ever heard if Zena is out of his sight for a moment. He is as wiggly as can be when spoken to but needs a comfort level to openly approach a new person. He is crate trained and housebroken, but will not comply with either if Zena is not with him. They sleep in the same extra large crate in their foster home and eat inside the crate together as well. While taking on two dogs at once may seem like a daunting task, these two came into a foster home with 5 other dogs and their foster mom honestly doesn’t even know they are there. They require so very little and are just happy to be together. Neither seem to care for toys or even know what they are for, so no worries in regards to resource guarding or chewing. They are double the love, not double the trouble.
