[h=5]Intake bio[/h]At 5 months old Molly was diagnosed with some serious, congenital orthopedic problems with her back legs. She has grade IV/IV luxating knee cap on her right knee which has caused her femur bone to curve. Molly is not a normal, active puppy. She sits a lot and will pivot or drag her back end to get where she wants to go. She cannot jump.
Molly saw an orthopedic veterinarian this week. We strongly believe that surgery is the only option for her. They will have to cut her femur bone and straighten it with a plate and screws then deepen the groove so that her knee cap stays in place.
If we do not do surgery she will have chronic pain, early-onset arthritis and lose muscle and then probably rupture her ACL. It will also put more strain on her hips as well-which are already dysplastic. This will be a long treatment plan for her. This surgery will be her first but possibly not her last. Unfortunately her left knee is a grade III/IV also.

Molly is the sweetest girl ever and just wants to have the ability to move!
Please sponsor Molly! Her new knee is going to cost $4000! We need big sponsors. We need small sponsors. We need whatever you can spare!
[h=5]Update (5/30/16)[/h]Molly’s surgery was done the beginning of April.
Molly had her 8 week orthopedic recheck at the end of May. Her knee has improved from a grade 4 to a grade 2. Unfortunately, this is as good as her knee is going to get. She’s got a cute swagger to her stride but doesn’t every bulldog? Molly is off officially off of medical hold and ready for a forever home!
She’s definitely better than she was and we are thankful for all of her sponsors and doctors who helped getting her the surgery she needed.
Molly is only 9 months old. She is very active and has a lot of energy. She would be an ideal family pet. She loves kids. She loves other dogs but Molly thinks every dog is her best friend. It’s not a bad thing, she’s just silly. That can be a little overwhelming for some dogs. We will work hard to find the perfect forever home for Molly!
