Zena is somewhat new to rescue. She currently lives harmoniously with 4 other dogs. She is by far the most docile of the pack. Zena is a very gentle girl. Zena isn’t quite two years old yet. Her birthday is June 24th.
Zena came into rescue missing lots of fur. We originally thought it was caused by a grain allergy so Zena was been placed on a grain free food and had medicated baths to get her back on track. It has since been determined Zena has canine recurrent flack alopecia. Her case is more physically apparent than other bulldogs but this is a perfectly normal occurrence in this breed and is not a health issue, but rather, a cosmetic one. The silver lining in her condition is that she almost never sheds. Zena is very healthy. She had entropion surgery on May 24th, which is very common for young bulldogs. Her recovery went very well and she is now ready for adoption.
Zena brought a stuffed toy with her to rescue and she adores her ‘stuffy”. Naps with him make her very happy. She hasn’t shown much interest in other toys at her foster home. She is learning the ropes from the other dogs though, and I am sure she will blossom.
We will update more on Zena as she spends some additional time in foster care working on adjusting to her new life.

She is wonderful
YOU MIGHT BE A BULLDOG IF...
...everyone else in a room with you is pinching their noses
...you snore like a chain saw.
...it takes too much energy to beg
...your snore is louder than your bark
...you have never seen your tail...what is a tail anyways?
...you're the loudest snorer in the house.
