BIO:

Tyson had his initial vetting mid-July. He got all of his vaccines updated, started on heartworm prevention and he also had entropion eye surgery on both bottom eye lids. He had his sutures removed 2 weeks later and his eyes have healed great!

Tyson has had a history of chronic bacterial ear infections. When he arrived into rescue, his ears were again infected. Unfortunately, daily ear cleanings will have to be part of Tyson's maintenance. He's not a fan of ear cleanings, but he tolerates them. He's such a good boy!

Along with daily ear cleanings, Tyson will need his tail cleaned frequently. It's a tightly coiled tail that could easily get infected and cause some real problems.

Tyson enjoys a quiet, peaceful environment. Not much gets him excited and he is perfectly content to just lay in the same room as his people. Since he is deaf, he startles often. When he sleeps, he sleeps hard and occasionally jumps out of fear. Tyson has done well with hand signals and routine, but it can be hard to get a deaf dog's attention in an urgent situation.

Tyson is house trained and crate trained. He loves kids and is tolerant of other dogs if introduced properly.

Since coming into rescue, Tyson has lost 3 pounds! It's amazing how a little weight loss makes such a difference for Bulldogs. They are so much healthier! Tyson is able to go from laying to standing easier, not to mention less stress on his joints.

Please consider sponsoring Tyson's medical care while he is in rescue. If you're interested in adding Tyson to your family, please mention him by name when you fill out an adoption application.
