Jackson came to IBR in need of some serious TLC. He had suffered from recurring ear infections over his lifetime which left him in need of TECA (total ear canal ablation) surgery to correct the problem. He had the surgery and is recovering well. Normally this surgical procedure would render a bulldog deaf, but Jackson retained much of his hearing which is nothing short of a miracle.
Jackson has no residual issues form the procedure and is an incredibly healthy boy. He has no daily medication requirements, no allergies and is fully vetted.
Jackson is a very good boy. He currently lives with an IBR foster bulldog sister and two other fur sisters in his foster home. They all get along very well. Jackson has shown his sassy side towards male dogs previously, so he would do best in a home without male dogs.
Jackson was an only fur child in previous home so he doesnt care to share his toys with anyone, including his foster mom. Once he finds his favorite toy, he can become a little possessive. He would need to be monitored closely during toy play if other dogs or small children are nearby.
Jackson is a very sweet boy. He follows his foster mom everywhere and loves to be close to people. He is very well behaved, listens well, is crate and house trained and a pretty quiet boy. He is very good with small children and loves his foster sister who is 9 and his foster grand siblings which are 1 and 3 years old. He is known as the gentle giant at a whopping 70 pounds.
Jackson rides well in a car, loves to go places and meet people and would make an incredible companion to someone. While he is 9 years old, don't let that fool you. He can be very energetic. He loves to go for walks and explore. He keeps up with his 5 year old foster sisters with no trouble at all and many times surpasses their energy levels.
