BIO:
Gertie is adjusting well to her new foster home. She is a very sweet little girl. She can be very playful and would love to play with you and her toys all day, but can also be very mellow and take naps with you too.

Gertie loves people, especially her foster dad. She will follow you around no matter where you go. She dislikes mornings and wet grass. She loves toys that make noise.

Gertie is house trained and working on becoming crate trained. She knows how to sit and will sometimes lay down. She is still working on dropping her toy when she is told to. She is a people pleaser and tries hard to do what is asked of her.

OCTOBER UPDATE: Poor Gertie was sicker than we ever expected! While undergoing a routine spay surgery Oct. 8, her veterinarian discovered that she had an infected uterus. She also ended up having her inverted tail amputated, due to severe infection. Please, PLEASE consider sponsoring Gertie to cover the cost of these surgeries. This girl is ador-a-bull and she needs YOUR support!

NOVEMBER UPDATE: Wow! Gertie is feeling so much better and has recovered well from her surgeries! Now that she is healthy again, her true personality is shining through

Gertie is very happy and energetic. She loves to play with all kinds of toys, including balls and bones. Her foster parents have been wearing down before she does. She also loves every person she meets and cannot understand why everyone doesn't want to spend their whole day petting her!
