BIO:

Lucy is settling in to her foster home very well. She has proven herself to be very high energy, but does great with the older dogs in the house. She loves to play with toys and run all around the house attempting to get the others to follow suite.

Lucy is only 2 (according to the vet) and is still very puppy-like. She would do extremely well in a home with another dog to keep her busy and show her the ropes. She is very passive and loves to play. She just needs lots of structure, patience and guidance because of her young age. She shares her kibble, toys and bed without any problems.

Lucy is a super smart girl. She is fully crate and house trained. She knows "Sit," "Stay," "Down" and "Shake." She is very food motivated, so her foster mom is certain she could be taught just about anything. She has even figured out how to open the back door and let herself out. A fully fenced yard will be a requirement for this girl.

Lucy is very strong and doesn't realize her own strength. While she is great with kids, we would recommend she be in a home with older kids who can handle her strength and weight. She is currently 66 pounds, but her foster mom is working on a diet and exercise program for her.

Lucy doesn't walk well on a leash. She pulls and chews the leash. She will need some practice and that's the first task at hand. She cannot be trusted off-leash yet, as she will run after the first thing that catches her eye.
