BIO:

Wally is a very sweet, young boy who joined IBR after being sprung from a shelter. He is about a year and a half old and has some very unique markings. So far, he hasn't met a stranger and greets everyone with his signature wiggle!

Wally is a young boy with lots of energy. He loves to go on walks and is working very hard on learning not to pull on the lead. He wants nothing more than to please his people, and in just one week he has made some huge strides with his manners. He responds to "sit," "leave it," "off" and "wrong."

Wally is house trained and will sleep in his crate after only a few minutes of pouting. So far, he has not had an accident in the house, been destructive or shown any aggression.

Wally wants every dog to be his new best friend and would love a playmate. Because of his energy level, he can be a little overwhelming to new dogs at first, but after a little time he settles down.

Wally needs a home with a fully fenced yard since he is very quick and cannot be trusted off leash. He is good with all people, but because of his energy and exuberance his best fit would probably be an active home.

SEPTEMBER UPDATE: Wally is still looking for his forever family! His foster mom says he is a darling freckle-faced boy with a heart of gold. He continues to be as happy as can be.

Wally's manners have improved dramatically since his arrival. He is walking on a leash without pulling and will sit and stay to get a treat. He is also great with kids of all ages. He has spent time with kids from 18 months to 15 years and has been kind and gentle to them all.

Wally is still very much a puppy. He would love a large fenced yard to run around in and an active family who likes to take him places and on lots of walks. He has not shown an ounce of aggression toward people or other dogs. But he does have a LOT of energy and LOVES to play with other dogs.

If Wally is to have fur-siblings, they need to be the kind who will enjoy his outgoing, playful energy and a family who is patient and willing to help him set boundaries when there's been enough play time. He will make his forever family very happy for many years to come!
