BIO:

Louis is a very good boy. He listens well, stays down off furniture, is fully house trained, can be trusted in his foster mom's front yard without a leash and will stay in his own assigned space. He is also very polite to the children in his foster home, including two rambunctious 8 year olds.

Louis adores having his back rubbed, shows excitement when spoken to and really just wants to be with his foster family. He comes every time he is called with exuberance. He will sit when asked but isn't comfortable being asked to lie down. He needs to feel safe to lie down next to people. He usually prefers to go to his bed where he feels safe and out of the way of traffic.

Louis will require a family that is understanding and patient with his specific insecurities and will adhere to strict guidelines to ensure his safety and a smooth adoption/transition. He is dog and crate aggressive, so he needs to be the only dog in the home and cannot be crated. He is such a polite house guest, his foster mom hasn't found the slightest reason to think he would ever need to be crated anyway.

Louis notifies his humans when he needs to go out, puts himself to bed at night in his "spot" (bed), doesn't chew on anything but the toys he is given and is fully trusted while his foster family is out of the house.

Louie is a special boy. He is a sweet soul. His foster mom sits on the porch with him every night as he wanders for a moment and then checks to make sure she is still there, watching over him. He really deserves a special home of his own.

JULY UPDATE: Louis has settled in nicely to his foster home. He has bonded quickly to his foster mom, who works from home, so they are together most times. He has learned the daily routine quickly and seems to adjust well to any situation. He listens very well when given a command he recognizes.

Louis is being fostered in a home with 3 other bulldogs, but stays separate most of the time, while still being able to see the others. He is a very jealous boy, which brings out his aggression. He is territorial over food, toys, space and humans. His foster mom feels he will flourish in a home without other pets.

Louis is crate aggressive, which means he cannot be in a closed crate. In his foster home, he has access to a crate and will go inside on occasion but the door is never closed nor does anyone approach him while he is inside. It would be highly advisable for him to live in a home where he can roam free and be trusted without the introduction of a crate.

Louis is completely housebroken and has been left alone at times up to 10 hours without any accidents. He can be trusted fully to not chew, stay down off furniture and roam free. He is incredibly obedient. His foster mom takes him outdoors without a leash in unfenced, low traffic areas and he stays close, doesn't chase wildlife and comes when called.

Louis is fine with children, really paying them no attention when they are around. Of course, he is agreeable to anyone who will pet his head or rub his back. His foster mom takes him to IBR events very regularly and he is the perfect gentleman with everyone.
