Roxie is a sweet girl who came in to rescue with her sister, Gretel, who she has lived with all her life. Her foster mom is still working hard to really get to know her and determine if she and Gretel are bonded and have to be adopted together.
Roxie loves walks and attention from anyone who will give it to her. So far, Roxie seems to get along well with other dogs, but it is not known how she is with cats since she never lived with one. She is crate trained, but occasionally has accidents in the house, mainly due to not having been on a regular and consistent schedule.
Roxie's foster mom is working with her on her manners, basic commands and how to walk on a leash correctly. Given her lack of training and socialization, she needs a home with older kids who understand bulldogs.
JUNE UPDATE: Roxie is ready for her forever home! She recovered just fine from her spay last month and is a spunky, happy, healthy girl!
After a month with her foster mom, it has been determined that Roxie is not necessarily bonded to her sister Gretel. She can definitely be adopted with Gretel, but her forever home could also be separate from her sister.
Roxie gets along well with other dogs and cats. She would do best in a home with older kids, since she has a little energy and spunk to her. She is very sweet to everyone she meets and is always looking for a little love and attention.
Roxie is still working hard on her manners, but with the help of a loving family and some good training she will be a great adition to any home. She is crate and house trained, but if she is not taken out right away when she comes out of her crate she will have an accident.
Roxie loves short walks with her foster mom and lives to please! She would make a wonderful addition to a great home!
Check back for updates as Roxie's foster mom gets to know her better!
If you're interested in adopting Roxie when she's ready for her forever home, mention her by name when filling out an adoption application. She will also need some sponsors for
