BIO:

Sami hasn't been in her new foster home very long, but is making herself right at home! So far she is very low energy and loves getting her beauty sleep.

Sami may not be very good with other dogs, so we will proceed with caution while socializing her. She will have her initial vetting soon and we will update you on her health and how she is adjusting. Stay tuned!

JANUARY UPDATE: Sami had her initial vetting and is perfectly healthy and heartworm negative! Now that she is settling into her new foster home, her wonderful personality is emergin. She is an absolute cuddle bug and wants nothing more than to be by your side. She is very low energy, but does get some spurts of spunk and wants to play (it usually only lasts a few minutes, though). Her preference would be to sleep the day away.

Sami absolutely loves people and waits around for everybody to pet her. She has gone on many car rides and is easy to take anywhere. She just sits and takes in the world around her for awhile, and then lays down to sleep. She also likes to be outside and go for walks, so she would probably be best with a fenced in back yard.

Sami would do best as an "only child" bullie. She doesn't like to share her people, so other pets may be an issue. Her foster mom hasn't seen it yet, but Sami is said to get excited around kids, so she may do better in a household with older children or no kids at all.

APRIL UPDATE: Sami is a small girl by bullie standards, but she has enough personality to make up for that. She is a very sweet girl and gives the best bullie kisses ever. She loves her bed and her toys. Sami has the cutest little butt wiggle when she is happy, which is most of the time. She adores people and wants to be near them, but will toddle off for nap time when she needs it.

Sami is crate trained, but doesn't care for being in her crate. She will comply, but will whine a little about it. She knows she is a trustworthy girl and doesn't need to be crated, so she has no issue telling the world about it. Sami is also fully housebroken, but does require additional potty breaks due to her small size. Rather than crate while away, her foster mom leaves her a puppy pad out which she will use if needed.

Sami is very gentle with kids of all ages and loves people. She is learning to live with her fur foster sisters, but would do best in a home without other pets. She is extremely jealous and territorial, so she would require constant supervision around other furry kids. She is walked daily by her 8 year old human foster sister (with adult supervision) and does very well. She also responds well to positive reinforcement.

Sami seems to believe she can talk and will let you know if she isn't happy or needs something by doing a little "gabber" that is her own way of communicating. Her foster mom thinks it's hilarious. However, Sami doesn't bark when visitors come to the door or are in her view.

Sami is an extremely happy and pleasant little girl, looking for her forever home, preferably where she can be the center of attention as an only "child."
