Max is a VERY lovable 2 year old bulldog who is looking for the love and attention he deserves! Max is house and crate trained and is very obedient when he needs to go to his crate. He does well on his leash and loves to go for long walks! If you really want to find your way to Max's heart, start scratching his back and he will instantly drop down and want you to rub his belly! He will lay there for hours as long as you continue to rub his belly.
Max does have spurts of energy and wants to act like he is the King of the house. As long as you let him know that you are in charge, he will obey you. Max is a little nervous as he is still getting used to some new things in his surroundings, but I believe with time and patience that will all go away. Max is not a fan of vacuum cleaners and tends to get a little aggressive with them. He is protective of his crate, but has not shown any aggression towards it. He is learning that staircases are actually pretty fun, but he's still not completely sure about them!
From what we can tell, Max really enjoys other dogs and would do fine with other dogs in the house. We have not seen him with cats yet, so only time will tell with them. Max is just a wonderful little boy who wants nothing more than some TLC!
OCTOBER UPDATE: The last month has proven to be a busy one for Max! After the vet advised he put some weight on, he has put on about 5 pounds and is doing wonderful! He also got neutered and it has helped his energy level tremendously! Max has become such a loving, wonderful dog that loves to just be by your side and follow you where ever you go. Max loves to play, but now enjoys his nap time even more! He is still very good with other dogs and even goes to doggy daycare! Even more so now, he doesn't really care about other dogs in his presence; he would rather just be a bulldog and lay around. Max has decided that he would like to be a lapdog and tries to lay on my lap at all times. Max still has some anxiety about his crate, but it has improved. Also, he would rather I not vacuum the house at all as that is still very scary to him! He has become such a lover that it is hard to not love this little guy!HOW TO ADOPT:
