Welcome Lucy to IBR! Lucy is a very sweet 6 year old that we pulled from a shelter in Ohio. Lucy is still getting used to her foster home so stay tuned for more updates as she and her foster mom get to know each other a little better.

Lucy is wonderfully sweet to every person she meets; however, she isn’t quite sure about other dogs. Hopefully, with time and the proper reinforcement those issues will pass, but there’s a possibility Lucy might need a home where she’s the only dog. Lucy is spayed and got a clean bill of health from the vet. Lucy is small and compact and weighs about 44 lbs. She walks well on a leash and seems to be crate and house trained. Lucy spends most of her day napping or following her foster mom around like a shadow. She would rather have human attention than toys or bones. Lucy is getting used to a high-quality grain free food which should help clear up some minor skin issues. Without a doubt, Lucy will make her forever family very happy!

Sept Update: Lucy is doing great and adjusting just fine to her foster home. Due to stress and not wanting to eat all of her food in a new place, Lucy suffered from some mild head tremors during her first week in foster care. Now that Lucy is more comfortable and eating two healthy meals a day, she hasn't had one for a while. All of her blood work came back just fine and she is ready to find her forever home. Lucy gets along fine with her foster brother, but outside of the home, she can get a little sassy when other dogs approach her. She shows no aggression whatsoever towards people or kids. She continues to be very well behaved and a joy to have. Her forever family is very lucky to have this sweet girl!

Lucy had blood work done to see if the head tremors were being caused by anything other than stress and low blood sugar. The results came back fine. Lucy is healthy and ready for adoption. HOW TO ADOPT:
