Carson is a laid-back, sweet 7yr old bullie in excellent health. He can be playful and really enjoys being with people who love on him. When he is happy, he will shake his head back and forth and come running towards you for some pats and scratches!
He is an owner surrender and has apparently lived with other dogs and cats. He is in great shape and the vet was impressed with his overall health. He has a history of snapping at a young child who disturbed him while he was sleeping....Currently, he is living w/ our family with 3 girls (7-12yrs) and 2 labradors. We make sure not to sneak up on him, and have found him to be a real sweetheart. Our girls know to give him some space. One of our labs is easily excited and this is really uncool according to Carson. Carson tries his best to remain patient, but sometimes he has to give our lab a firm warning. His best canine friends would be more laid back and would give him his needed space.
He walks great on a leash, always a gentleman, never pulling. Several short walks during the day are best. He also enjoys walks with our other dogs, and seems to be more patient with our high energy lab while on walks.
His previous owner likely fell for that sweet face and gave into feeding Carson from the table. Carson thinks getting food from the table is a right for all dogs! He gets put off when we don't oblige. For the time being he gets put in his kennel when we eat, we are trying to break this habit and only giving him lots of love and some treats between meals (not from the table).HOW TO ADOPT:
