Bio:Meet Hooper! Hooper is a 4 year old owner surrender who came to the IBR in August 2012. His previous owners adopted him and sadly their family dog was aggressive toward him. Wanting the best for him, they made the hard, but correct decision to surrender him to the rescue. Hooper is a BIG boy (84 lbs) with lots of energy. Hooper needs a family who likes going on walks as much as he does. He is great in cars and good with all people and kids he meets, although he needs a little work on his manners.

Hooper got a clean bill of health from the vet with the only exception that he needs to lose a little weight. He is good with other dogs after a little adjustment time. After what he's been through, he needs a family where he's the only dog or his "fur siblings" are very easy going. Hooper is housetrained and does not like being kept in a crate at all. He also doesn’t like when his foster parents leave him and is working through some separation anxiety issues. Hooper is a sweet boy who will no doubt make his forever family very happy!
