Special Needs: Feeding three meals a day to bring her weight up to a normal level
Medications: Snowy is currently taking vitamins, ear drops for her infected ears, and a short course of Prednisone and a 7 week course of Cephalexin to treat pyoderma (a non-contagious bacterial skin infection). She also gets oatmeal baths every other day.
Crate trained: Yes, but does not like to sleep in a room by herself. Her crate is next to her foster brother.
House trained: She understands that she should go outside, but does not yet know how to tell us when she needs to go outside

Snowy is an adorable, loving, petite bulldog that craves affection. She came to us with a severe case of pyoderma, that her previous owner thought was skin allergies. She is responding remarkably well to antibiotics, Her skin is already looking healthy and pink again and her fur is regrowing. Snowy is still very underweight, but enjoys eating very much, so she will soon be back to a healthy weight! She is a very smart bullie. She did not know any commands, but has already learned to “sit”, so additional training should be easy. Even though Snowy is an older dog, her attitude is that of a puppy. As she gains weight and strength, she is also gaining energy. Snowy does not just wiggle her butt when she is happy, she wiggles her whole body. She walks fine on a leash, but does not like to walk very far. She will nudge you repeatedly to get you to pet her. When she gets tired, she likes to lay in the sunlight that streams through the window. Snowy is currently in a foster home with two other dogs (a 67 lb. bulldog and a minpin/mini schnauzer mix), a black cat and a guinea pig. She ignores the guinea pig cage, mostly ignores the cat, and has snoring contests with the other dogs! She does not have much interest in playing with toys.
