Bio:

Maxwell is an Olde English Bulldog, and a proper english gentleman as well! He was rescued from Indianapolis Animal Control, where he was listed as a stray, but he has clearly been a house dog all his life. He is completely house trained, and has had no accidents in foster care. He loves walks, and gets excited when he sees the leash, or hears the jingle of car keys! He loves to go for rides, and has been a well behaved visitor at the Farmer's Market, the park, and the summer concerts on the lawn. He's equally content to ride along for carpool, or just be with his family running errands.Max has a good appetite, and has adjusted well to the grain free food that his foster family serves.

At 70 pounds, he's a big guy, and will need a family that is committed to daily walks and good nutrition. He is fostered in a family with three other dogs, and all eat together - no issues with side by side feeding or rudeness here! Maxwell sleeps on a dog bed at his foster house, but could also use a large crate. He asks to go outside with a brief single bark by the door - again, signs of an indoor dog with very proper manners!

Maxwell has sucessfully completed heartworm treatment and entropian surgery (to repair cherry eye) in July, and is now ready for a forever home! He is feeling quite frisky with his new, improved vision, and has become an active member of the doggy playtime at his foster family's home! Maxwell has really benefitted from a more active lifestyle, and does best with several good walks each day. He is well behaved on the leash, but is eager to go for walks with his foster mom in the cooler mornings and evenings. He will be a good exercise buddy for a lucky human who needs a little motivation to circle the block!.
