Caray's Story...

Holy Cow! It's Caray! Caray is one of the "World Series Seven" that we were able to rescue 7 beautiful english bulldogs out of the depths of commercial breeding (aka puppy mils) and into the hands of our rescue. Volunteers traveled hundreds of miles and gave countless hours to bring these dogs home. And oh how excited we are to have them here!
We like to think of these 6 girls and one boy as our lucky ones. We dubbed this rescue group the "World Series Seven" and are super excited to introduce you to all of them!
For those of you that have followed our rescue for a while, you will not be surprised to learn that the care of this special group of bullies will far exceed our average cost of care for a dog in our rescue. These mill dogs have suffered cases of neglect and lack of care. Most have not known a gentle hand, a kind touch or soft word. Many have mange (demodex), skin infections, orthopedic issues, hernias, and bladder infections ... just to name a few of the ailments we are treating. Their physical care will cost thousands of dollars and caring for them emotionally will require hours and hours of volunteer time, commitment and love.

Caray is a smart girl who is eager to please. Leaving her puppy mill memories behind her this playful lady wants to do everything she can to find her forever family. She is doing excellent with potty training, getting better every day with walking on a leash, and is very affectionate. She chews on shoes or other things that you forget to pick up so she is learning what should be chewed and what shouldn't. She is very responsive to positive reinforcement which makes her fun to train. While she is a sweet and quiet girl in the house, she is getting more confident on walks and is the hit of the neighborhood. Caray loves being around our two dogs and she shows no interest in our cat.

Update: I've been ADOPTED!
