Last night we packed the best we could, leaving the last minute items to be packed...the last minute. I took a sleeping pill at 10 hoping to get a good night sleep before our 7 plus hour drive to the oregon dunes. Alarm goes off at 6am...but I had been awake since 5:30. My husband hit the snooze twice. I have no idea why...it's not like Vegas was going to let him sleep any longer. Our departure time was set for 7am. My husband jumped in the shower while I went to get O up. She is the sweetest thing when she first wakes up. I sat on the floor and uncovered her kennel. She was using her backup stinky as a pillow. (main stinky was already packed).I talked to her for a few moments thru her kennel..with no response. Finally, I asked if she was ready to go bye bye. Butt wiggling, she got out off her kennel and climbed into my lap.
Finally everybody in their places, we pull out at 8am. We have O in her baby kennel and vegas on his couch. We tried 2 couch travel and regretted it. Too much freedom and feisty bulldogs makes for a very long ride. O settled right down, but vegas? What a pickle!! We stopped right before the Oregon border for a pee break. Pee for the pups. Starbucks and hamburgers for the people.
