We have parkay hardwood flooring, tile and carpet. On the parkay and tile I simply spray some window cleaner [windex] on the spots and a bit here and there and mop with hot water making sure I squeeze all the excess water out of the mop and its simply damp. Never have any streaking using this method. I like to use Pinesol sometimes but it does seem to leave a little sudsy residue and so some streaking

I use a Shark on the hardwood floors and spray a fine mist of windex as I go. And I follow up with a mop that has a terry towel cloth attached to the bottom of the mop to get rid of the streaks - sometimes dampening the cloth. On my tile I use the Shark too and every 4 months I get down on my hands and knees and paint the grout with a dark grey cement paint. It looks so new and so clean.
