    Default Having been an avid fisherman for most of my life Iíve learned

    how to make rigs, maintain and repair my reels, tie flies, build fishing rods, etc.
    On occasion, for friends and family, Iím asked to repair a reel. Depending on availability of parts and/or my ability to fabricate a part, I get the reel operating every time.
    That is until this last one. At first glance it appeared to be a decent quality albeit well-used Penn. Removing the gear case cover told a different story.
