how to make rigs, maintain and repair my reels, tie flies, build fishing rods, etc.
On occasion, for friends and family, I’m asked to repair a reel. Depending on availability of parts and/or my ability to fabricate a part, I get the reel operating every time.
That is until this last one. At first glance it appeared to be a decent quality albeit well-used Penn. Removing the gear case cover told a different story.
