Today was a PD at school so there was no school today. How do you spend a day off with your Grandson? You bake cookies together. We made Chocolate Chip Skor Cookies and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. He lost interest after the first cookies were made, and bailed on me, so I made the Oatmeal ones myself. Lol. I love spending time with my little man, he's growing up way too fast. Making cookies, making memories. Mmm the house smells so good.

Mmmmm!!! I can smell them from here! There's nothing like the warm cozy feeling that baking (especially chocolate chip cookies!) brings to a home. I cherish the memories of my mom and I doing just that... although, at the time, I think I was more interested in licking the spoon and sampling the cookies! What a great way to spend the day!

How nice, I have super fond memories of making Christmas cookies with my mom, and like Jersey, I LOVED licking the spoon.

I bet those Score chocolate chips were amazing, Score Bars were my FAVORITE growing up, may have to go find one....

They turned out amazing, really yummy. I would never have thought about putting Skor in cookies, and I don't know where he got the idea to try them. Maybe he heard of someone making them, because he had never tried them. Lol. But they were really good, although a little sweet with the chocolate chips together. I bought Skor chocolate bars and thought I would have to crush them up, but they actually had crushed up Skor in a bag, where they sold the chocolate chips. Who Knew? We ended up with two dozen of the Skor cookies, and two dozen of the oatmeal chocolate chip, so I froze half of them.

Here's the recipe I used for the Chocolate Chip Skor cookies. I didn't use the nuts, but used the chocolate chips and added the Skor.
