Default Does anyone on here have Psoriasis?

I do and have for 7 years. Just wondering if anyone has a miracle cure? I KNOW there is NO cure, I am just pissed right now because I am having a bad break-out. I have seen several "specialist" dermotologist dr.'s over the year with no relief.

    Just wondering?

@reallyrob, I live 10 min. from the beach and I have been told time and time again the saltwater will help it. It actually irratates me. It's not like I have a life threatening illness, but It sure is a pain in my A**! And it HURTS, I scream every-time I have to get into the shower because the water stings it so bad. I have it extremely bad on the palms of my hands.

You are no different the a dog when it comes to skin issues. Likely an allergy to something. You need to increase the essential fatty acids in your diet ie Omega 3.
You can also apply some 100% pure Jojoba oil to the areas to relieve the itching etc.

@KMARINO, my friend is exactly the same way....when I am in Florida at my condo and see her, she couldn't stand the water. She has it real bad on her knees, elbows and palms...she would just cry. I got her to try the dead sea salts scrub and it really has helped. She was amazed...it makes it manageable for her.

@heff101, It is actually an Auto-Immune-Disease not an allergy, my body works over time to produce skin cells, I have been to many dr.s, and the treatment is all the same...steroid creams and UV treatments, I took myself off the steroid creams and am trying a holistic approach, I take 2,000 mgs. of fish oil (Omega 3), and 2.000 mgs. of vit. D, I sleep with white cotton gloves and Aquaphor every-night to sooth the palms. The sun does help and thankfully I live in Florida, it is not as bad in the summer as it is in the winter

A patient I am currently looking after suggested you try creams and oil containing tea-tree she also mentioned bathing with bicarbonate of soda. She stopped using prescribed creams a few years ago and whilst she still experiences problem times she feels much better in herself and has less pain.
Try this link that she gave me, I have checked and there seems to be some good suggestions that may be worth a try xx

Auto immune and allergies to me are very closely related. Solve one and you solve the other mostly.
You can easily increase your Omega to 6,000 or more mgs per day (I am in the health care business).
Most recommendations on supplement labels are based on the average human weight of 150lbs. You can adjust it from their accordingly.
With Omegas your bowls will tell you when you have reached your tolerance levels!

    Psoriasis treatment
@Lucylambchop, I do use a body wash that is mostly tea-treet oil. Today I bought T-Cell a shampoo that has tea-treat oil in it over the last month I have a big patch on the back of my scalp, I hate the smell but it does sooth my body.

@heff101, I do agree Auto-immune and allergies are related. I do have multiple allergies, asthma, and lactose intolerant along with the psoriasis. I weigh 140-143 and I am 5'4, The fish oil (Omega 3) is triple strength from GNC and I take one in the morning and one at night. Do you still think I should up it? I don't want to smell fishy and the brand I buy is more expensive because it does not disolve until it hits the stomach making me not to burp the fish oil.

GNC is not the best brand out there to be honest.
If you can find Natural Factors RX Omega in the US then buy it. I would up it to 6/day 2 with each meal. It can and will take upwards of 6 or more months for you to begin to notice any difference.
Also Natural Factors has a new product called Gluten Relief in Canada. If you can find it there I would take it as well. Also important for you to take a good probiotic (I am guessing you have been on antibitoics).
You will not smell fishy with the Natural Factors product.
    Good Luck.
PS I own a Health Food store and can always mail you what you need.
