Well we are buried. I swear there has to be close to two and a half feet of snow out there. We shoveled the deck numerous times so the dogs could get out, but can't do anything else because the snow and wind were relentless. Ugh, I cleaned all day! No fun at all! Will post pics tomorrow when we can actually get out of the house.

I saw the pics of my friends in DC… UNREAL!!! We had a storm like that in the 70s, we had snow caves to get around in… school was out for a week!!!

We only got 8 inches of snow, but it's on top of at least an inch of solid ICE!!! I tried breaking some of it up, and it was impossible… it will warm up to the 40s on Monday so I'm sure the kids will be home from school.

I hope you guys can get out today… how are the dogs handling the SNOWZILLA?!! Lol

John I know exactly what you are talking about. Where in Maryland did you live? People in Maryland freak out as well. I lived in Houston off I-10 aka Rt 90 and off of the Gulf Freeway many years ago. And yes I went through Hurricane Carla to date my fanny perpendicular.

The bulk of my youth and young adult life was spent in "Pasa-get-down-dena" Maryland lived on the water down off Mountain Road on the Peninsula. Now I call Sugar Land home out off 99 an 90.

I love all that snow, but I'll admit I'm really glad I don't have to shovel it. Great Pictures. My parents sent me some too and they are over off the water. They measured 36 inches on the back deck.

Well the State I closed today 1/25/16 so that he dig can continue. I stand corrected on the official BWI amount...it was 29.2 inches. Amounts varied on locations some folks received 30 or more inches as you mentioned your folks got 36 inches.

A few roofs collapsed from the weight of the snow.

They love the snow. Gary made trails all around the back yard with the snow blower so they were running a maze course all day on Sunday. Madison has a two hour delay today.

Lewis used the snow blower for a 'poop shoot', due to the hill in our yard that is all we could do for them

What a great idea.

Yo neighbor (take aim)..."here's a present for you"...snowblower revs up and thoop! Another new meaning for the crap hitting the blower. "Take that neighbor, next time don't leave a deposit."
