Volunteering idea. Do you think it's worth it?

Many of you know I'm in school, specifically for accounting. Both my parents are accountants and my main plan is to take over a small business my mom started while working full time somewhere else. A large amount of revenue comes from doing taxes, and seeing it's tax season, I had an idea that I don't know is doable or not.

I was thinking of reaching out to a few rescues and other not-for-profit orgs that focus on dogs to see if they'd like to have their books/taxes done at no cost. Do you think it's a good idea? Not too sure how the small rescues do their books or even if they have one. Does anyone have any experience with this?

The major rescue we work with budget for an accountant who chages them next to nothing, but idk if every rescue is that way and i'm sure smaller rescues can't afford that so I think it's worth a try if you have the time energy and resources to do it. I think this is great of you to consider
