JOURNEY concert...

Oh my gosh… went to see JOURNEY on Friday night in Nashville. The concert was FANTASTIC, even though lead singer Steve Perry is no longer w/them. Opening act was JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS!!! All I can say is WOW she did an AMAZING job of rocking the house I had an absolute BLAST… WOO HOO!!! Perfect B-day weekend!!!

Oh here's my favorite Journey song, that they unfortunately didn't sing…

I LOVE Journey!! One of my all-time favorite bands. And Joan Jett too...she's awesome. This is a trip down memory lane for me. How cool that you got to see them in concert. I heard the replacement for Perry is pretty excellent tho.

Arnel Pineda is the new lead singer, and he did an excellent job!!! He sounds VERY much like Steve Perry, and he brings an incredible amount of energy to the show. I thought he was 20 something the way he was dancing around stage, and then I read that he was in his 40s

Hearing JOURNEY was like a time warp for me… back in HS… Sigh!!! Lol I would prefer 70s/80s music any day to what they play nowadays on the radio… Lol

Oh yes, that Pineda guy I think is Filipino; i remember seeing a story about him on a news show and he even looked like Steve Perry!

I agree, i prefer the classic rock music from "our generation"; i have no clue who or what young folks listen to these days...somebody named Gaga and whoever else...

I saw a video of Steve Perry singing at this club a few months back, and he was attempting to sing a few Journey hits. It was not very good at all… I think that all those years touring, and making albums have ruined his voice. I mean Journey toured for YEARS and I can imagine your voice can only take it for so long…

Yes, and Steve hit all those high notes too! They were a very successful band. I had a big crush on Neal Schon at some point during the 80's!

SOMEBODY has had a LOT of plastic surgery thru the years, and his crazy *** wife was there!!! She was standing below the stage (in some ridiculous outfit) I was cracking up… OMG!!!

I saw them back in I think late 80's. At JFK stadium in Philly. It was an all day show with Journey in the line up... Great time. Glad you had a blast

Journey is still the bomb even after all of these years. Granted i would prefer that Steve Perry was still with them but Arnel is really damn good.

On another note Steve Perry is singing again as i caught a video a few months ago of him singing with some band and he still sounded fantastic....

For me i have Motley Crue coming up soon.

Ugh… Todd I had tickets to the Motley Crue concert, and I had to sell them because it's the week of Lily's fall break. We are going to be in Seattle… of course!!! Lol

Fall break? Wow... Nothing like that down here. labor day, 2 days for thanksgiving and then Christmas and that's it for ours.

It's stupid… I think that's why they start school so dang early in Aug. I wish we would do year round school… 9 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

They tried year round school here and it failed miserably. lol
