@HTX Bully I missed something. A&M used to play UT on Turkey weekend. What happened? Then again, I do not follow the SEC. I guess UT jumped conferences.

No. When A&M jumped to the SEC Texas said they didn't have room to play A&M any longer so the Aggies basically told the Horns to piss off.

Thanks for that tidbit of information. My neighbor is an Aggie Alum. Works for the ATF. As I mentioned, I do have roots in Texas. Family in Round Rock, Yoakum, and Corpus Christi. I lived in Houston and Ft. Hood.

@rjisaterp yep A&M moved to the SEC so UT is pouting and won't play them. I think they'll start playing again soon. Some folks think the winds are changing in Austin...

I love CFB as well, much more than the NFL. My alma mater is the University of Houston. We opened a new stadium last weekend, a beautiful stadium, great atmosphere, sold out crowd ect.....then kick off happened and we watched a comedy of errors. My scarlet and white feelings are definitely a little hurt after that one!!
@Marine91 is currently enjoying our old coach! We couldn't afford to keep him, among other reasons as well.

I lived over UH way a long time ago. Telephone rd and the Gulf Freeway. Munger Lane. Prior to that we lived on wycliff between I-10 and Memorial. Retired Army now. Living in Maryland we are being taxed like heck. In laws live in Maryland or we would be back in Texas. My neighbor's, the aggie, mom lives in north Houston.

We are a house divided here in regards to college ball. I grew in Western WA, wnet to one class and partied at many frats at University of Washington. My husband is a Washington State fan. I root for the Cougars (especially since I like cougars, lol) until Apple Cup time
