Ugh, woke up this morning to a humming sound, and the sound of air blowing from the vents, but it didn't feel cold, just air. I checked the thermostat and it said 25 degrees C, I always keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. I looked outside at my AC unit, and it was making a strange thumping sound, and the fan is not spinning. So I called our Heating and Air Conditioning Company, as we pay a monthly fee for a Protection fee on our equipment. Or So I Thought. They told me it only covers our Furnace, and not our AC Unit. When we signed up for the extra Protection Program, we were told it covered both. So now our AC isn't working, and we're not covered, so they want $89.00 for a service call fee, just to come out, plus any diagnostic fees to tell us what's wrong with it, plus any parts and installation fees, plus hourly labour costs. Did I say Ugh.
