OMG, I just finished reading Outlander...I had no idea there was a TV show and that this was the first book of several others. Anyone read this? I'm on book 2 right now...I don't have cable TV but how's the TV show?

Yeah, I didn't realize they made a show from the book. I think it's on Starz tho...but in any case, I got rid of cable two years ago so i can't watch it. I'm definitely enjoying the books though. Carol, have u read them?

I just got the 1st one, Henny, haven't started it yet.

Saw the 1st season of it, you're right it's on Starz but
don't have it now. Guess you & I will rent the DVD's
after the season ends I was starting to like it about
halfway thru to the end.

Really tho, I'm a rabid GOT's addict and will be signing
up for HBO again just to watch it, no will power to watch
after season, lol

3 weeks until the new GoT season starts. We can't wait but I am disappointed about how much from the books is being left out and some characters that aren't in the books being added. I just hope the do the Arya storyline justice.

I have a couple more episodes on the last season and then I will FINALLY get caught up. I haven't read the books, but I heard that they were REALLY good… I swear if the KILL John Snow I'm not watching it anymore. This show is getting just as bad as The Walking DEAD!!! Lol

Lol... You know no one is safe. I am bummed that they totally cut the Lady Stoneheart story.

After Stuart died and I was so grief stricken, I treated myself to the
entire set of books. It helped so much to lose myself in them and of
course, tragedy on such a grand and awful scale, I felt less 'singled
out'. I think the books helped me cope with what was happening to
me and also, to be brave enough to keep going.

Actually they have enough material for at least another 2 seasons being that they are just now really hitting the 4th boot and the story of A Dance with Dragons can be 2 seasons in and of itself. With what I have already read of The Winds of Winter front George RR Martin's site it is going to be good. Plus HBO stated last week they envision this running a total of 10 seasons which would take us through Wow with how slow he writes.

I was so happy when they announced that they'll start showing Game of Thrones here... only to discover they start with season 3 Same with Walking Dead and Vikings How am I supposed to get into the show if I haven't seen it from the start Netflix is supposed to be available here soon but I heard that long ago and it still doesn't work... this country

I just watched the Season 5 ending last night on the DVR...

Seriously… JOHN SNOW???!!! He was my favorite character on there… I honestly wish that I hadn't starting watching this, they keep killing ALL the characters that I like… the Red Wedding was bad enough. So I haven't read the books and people are saying that he isn't "dead", but honestly I'm still pissed… LMAO!!!

it is highly doubtful that is dead dead... Melisandre just happens to ride in to Castle Black right before it happens.. After all Catelyn Stark isn't dead either. Take a gander on Google about the R+L=J theory and it will make you think a bit more. I have a feeling that Tyrion and Jon will be riding dragons beside Dany in the end.
