Okay as most of you know, the hubby is out of town… story of my life, LOL

Anyhoo I had used the pressure washer to hose off the back porch this weekend, and now the outdoor spigot keeps dripping… I have turned it as much as I can (which probably isn't much, because I think I have arthritis in my hands…) but it won't stop. Do I need to call a plumber to replace it or have my son try to turn it off?!!

Re: Stupid question… Outside spigot?!!

get a pair of pliers and use it to turn the handle.... get it as tight as you can and then keep the pliers handy next time you need to use the spigot :D

No, I think it is just that you, as you stated, are not able to tighten it enough.... then when hubby gets back, have him check it out

Re: Stupid question… Outside spigot?!!

I agree with Christine, Haha she called you a Goober!!! Anyway, just use grips to tighten it. This should surely stop the drop. If not, I would go to home depot and get another spigot. It could be a washer or something stupid like that. You could have your son change it. I think the plumber would be a last resort.

Lol... Goober.... Haven't heard that one in awhile. It could be the washer that is starting to go in the spigot. You can use pliers turn it tight for now our you could be adventerous and shut the water off and take the valve stem out to replace the washer yourslef in about 10 minutes... lol
