Dearest Pati, your caring words go far in putting needed balm on my wounded heart.
Regretfully, I've come to the end of all I have to give and last night a fight between
my son & me culminated with me calling the police to escort his gf from my house, she
refused to leave when I asked her (nicely) to go. A horrible thing, I'm sick at stomach
& heart and have made the decision to move away from him as he won't move from my
home. My Mother is on the verge of needing hospice and I can't do it here like this...and
won't. My sister has a home an hour up the road and empty (available for rent) so I'm
going to rent it, move Mother & I in it and see her end of life, dignified & peaceful as she
deserves and frankly I need myself. I am broken in every way and must have some peace
or I will die, simple as that. So, I'm going to rest a week then turn on utilities and arrange
movers to empty my house & transport our things. My son & his gf can do as they will, I'm
done with them. As you say, without the outlet of EBN, I doubt I would be alive. No one
cares about me or has any compassion about my circumstances other than you and these
good members here. Thank GOD! Thank you, Pati, I'm blessed with your friendship & love.

Donna, I so understand how you feel and...your money situation too.
Can you find a roommate and share a duplex or apt or rent a room in
someone's house? Do you qualify for HUD?

My advice is to leave this situation before it escalates and before some
one gets hurt or jailed. It's just not worth it and certainly, neither is he!
A beating could go very wrong, someone die and lives ruined forever.

Please, put yourself 1st, out of harm's way and into a happy, peaceful
life...you deserve it. GOD be with you & bless you...you are in my prayers.

I've been reading ladies, just been super busy today...

To be honest, BOTH of these situations make me furious… since WHEN do you treat your own mother or mother-in-laws like this?!! WTH has gotten into these young people today?!! I really and truly don't understand this at all… I'm truly SORRY that you both are dealing w/these younger so called adults that don't show respect to the women in their lives. My son is NO saint, and he's still young 18… so HELP him if he acts like this, but you can NEVER say never…

Hi Donna and Carol, I totally agree with everyone, that having your son in laws butt kicked isn't the answer, it's tempting, but two wrongs don't make a right, and even if he does deserve it, you don't want to do anything that could cause irrepairable damage, or get you into trouble, plus you really don't want your granddaughters seeing their dad hurt, it may be terrifying for them. I'm sorry you're going through this, it can't be easy to live like this, and you must be feeling torn with your daughter. Maybe finding a room mate to share a place with would be the answer, if only to get peace from your situation.
Carol I'm so sorry you're having troubles with your son and his girlfriend, and that it came to such a serious outcome involving the police. I thought you guys had worked out things, and he had gotten his own place, and things were better.
Did he move back home? He shouldn't be calling the shots in your home, and you and your mother shouldn't have to leave your own home. He should have to leave, he is an adult, and can take care of himself. Don't let him run you from your house, unless you really want to move to your Sisters house. I'm so sorry you both are going through such unsettling times, and truly hope things work out for you both. Stay strong, and take care of your selves. Prayers and love to you both
