Today is Day 1. I'm doin pretty good besides the fact that my pain medication made me vomit😞👎👎 My throat isn't in as much pain as I thought it would be though! Does anyone have any advice or recovery stories? Just wondering how the next two weeks will go. Does it get better...or worse?

:nurse2:I'm sorry, I don't have any experience with this, so don't know what the recuperation period is like, or how long it takes. I am 52, and just recently saw a allergy specialist for testing, she recommended and referred me to a Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, as she said my tonsils are too big, and due to the fact I have sleep apnea, she thinks they should come out. Huh? Tonsillectomy at 52, are you kidding me? I'm waiting to be referred to the specialist, so I may be asking you questions, if I need to get them out. Lol. My 5 year old nephew had his tonsils and adenoids out, and tubes put in his ears, 5 days ago, and he's doing amazing, he woke up from surgery and asked for a bagel. Lol , but he is young, and I hear it's harder when you are an adult. Hope you have a quick recovery, and feel better soon.

I have not done this myself, but my sister did and she said ice cream was the best help

I had allergy testing two years ago, and I had shots three times a week for months... now I'm down to once a month, and I feel so much better!!! My biggest issue was allergy induced migraines. I hope that you get some relief soon Monica!!!
Bunny My son had his tonsils out, and he was absolutely fine... of course he was a lot younger they say it's harder the older you get. He loved shakes the most, ice cream, lots of soft foods like mac n cheese, baked potatoes... Hope you feel much better soon!!! :D
