Proud Papa

I am a proud papa today. Yesterday my daughter brought home a letter from school that she was one of 40 students selected based on academic excellence to go on the school trip to Italy and Greece next summer.... I am so happy for her to have this once in a lifetime chance. As a bonus the trip is going to be close to her birthday so I couldn't have asked for a better sweet 16 gift to give her.

Thank you. As many of you have read in a post i made a few months ago my daughter is a very strong willed person having to deal with the things she has already faced in her life already that I wouldn't wish on anyone. It makes me proud to be her daddy and to see her become a fine young woman. This will be another thing she can mark off of her bucket list as well to go along with her becoming a published poet which she did when she was 13 when one of her poems was published in the Stars in our Hearts book.
