I'm trying to cross off some more states, DE, MD, RI, CT, and NJ. Was planning on going to Dover, DE, then stopping a night somewhere on the way up to Maine. Problem is can't find something that is NOT almost $300 a night that takes dogs. It needs to be 1) takes dogs up to 50lbs, 2.) very, very close to grass for business 3.) in a SAFE area and easy-ish traffic ( no AC, NYC, Boston ) and 4.) less than $300 a night !!!!
I found a place or 2 in Rockport, MA that might work, but hoping that someone out there has some more ideas.

Sincerely,
Daphnee the Bully

Oh my! Yes that is quite the top dollar for one night.

Wish I could help but I don't travel much anymore. When I did we always stayed at red roof inn because I knew they were pet friendly... Unfortunately it showed sometimes!

Marriott residence inn and the Marriott inn n suites both have pet friendly rooms and are both in all the states you mentioned I believe. They have a 100$ no refundable pet fee but they should have a room under 300 w that fee included.
