As a nurse my nails are kept short and nekid. If I look at my hand palm facing me and can see my nail above my finger tip they are too long and need trimming down.
I have gel nails applied for special occasions and holidays
I keep mine a little above the tip, and use very light neutral colors. No designs. I like them to look neat and clean. So not long, and not really short either.
I keep mine fairly short even not working at the moment I can't ever shake the "germ" test we did in nursing school lol it also made me stop biting my nails!!!! I do have them painted most of the time!!! I'm eccentric n go with odd nail polish (neons, water marbling, crackle etc)
I keep mine fairly short and trimmed. I'm a Dental Assistant so am always in the patients mouth, so for germs, and also you don't want to scratch or poke the patients' delicate tissue in the mouth. Plus I'm constantly washing my hands and wear gloves all day, so it's just easier to keep them clean.
I have mine done, I have gel french manicure. I keep them just a tad bit above the length of my finger tips. With my job my hands are seen so I think it is important to have nice nails.
For the longest time they have been pretty short and I never bothered to paint them. However, I changed job functions back in September, and treated myself to having my nails done! Recently I had the acrylics removed, just to see if my natural nails could hold up. They've done fairly well, but I have a couple that have chipped so they aren't really all the same shape, or length anymore. >.>
So actually, my answer would be none of the aboveish.
