I just bought a new desktop from Costco! It's a ZT Systems PC, and it has lifetime support with agents that are in the USA. The price was really great!

I'd stay away from hp since I know a few people whose motherboards have gone kaput when their machines were reasonably young, both laptops and towers. Dell is the best in terms of reliability and price. Macs are great too, even the minis.

I have a lenovo laptop now, and have to admit that it's not as sturdy as I remembered them to be. Love their full-sized keyboards, can't be beat! Don't have experience with their towers though.

I've been an analyst working on computers over 20+ years. Support windows daily and my career depends on it. At home I use all mac computers and would be hard pressed to do anything but.

Been there done it all, Asus, hp, Dell, Acer, clones home built a number of gaming unit clones etc get yourself an imac and never look back.

I'm a MAC! and I had to buy the biggest one too lol I just wanted to have a beautiful picture to watch movies on and gaming too.
Plus needed space for all my music and Nigel's videos and pics especially!

At work we use the Lenovo laptops and I've had no issues with it.

So glad we have IT PEEPS here thanks RaRett & Sensai for the great info!

Not to hard at all to build your own. Plenty of good sites that can help during the process.

This is what i just bought
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00

But since you are looking for a desk top you can go to dell and find one you like then it gives you the option to build extra stuff into it and the Dell website is comparable to even walmart.
