@Vicaroo1000 Sensational, The 100 degree days here have really put the kibosh on green things. I am waiting for this heat to break. Our fourth heat wave is almost out of here, so says the weather folks. I am so envying your beautiful surroundings.
I can imagine the pleasure you are enjoying with all the labor involved. Thank you for sharing you piece of heaven.

@Sherry - I was out deadheading yesterday and noticed that our little "heat wave" here has had it's casualties too.

Here's something fun; everyday -- since last Sunday I think --- when I go out to the veg garden, the same little green Pacific Tree Frog is sunning him/her self on a big wide leaf on the daylillies. I see him everyday. Their markings are a bit varied so I know it's the same one. One day, I saw TWO of them together on the same leaf. I wasn't able to capture any frog porno though - just so you know.

They dropped off the sign tonight. We've been nominated for the neighborhood beautification award again this year.

hahahahaha I love my frogs! They are a great indicator of how our ecosystem is doing. The neighbor lady was complaining about ants the other day. She also mentioned that she has seen a lot of frogs in her yard. I said, "What do you think the frogs eat?" Never occurred to her that there's a food chain out there. I reminded her that poison (ant bait) affects EVERYTHING. She agreed. Yay. It's the little successes that mean so much.

Wow I missed this because I thought it was Sherry's or Bruces because of the title, sorry I will pay more attention next time!

I am a tad jealous, the only thing I miss about living anywhere other than AZ is having a beautiful garden. We decorate with rocks and gravel here . Few bushes and loads of cacti....

    Your garden is Absolutely stunning!

Sherry, I say again because for the past three years since they started awarding neighborhood beautification awards we have been nominated.

They nominate 60 homes each year and pick 20 winners. We have not won. But we don't do it for any award anyway.

I think our no lawn landscaping is a little too far outta the norm, so I'm actually surprised we keep being nominated.
