Olympic Torch :D

So the Olympic tourch is currently making its way around the UK before it reaches the stadium to begin the games on the 27th July.
Well this morning it came through our local town center and Chris and Connor went to see what was going on.
Heres a few pics I thought I'd share with those that are interested xx

Yes...Its an old one!! They were called Beat Bobbys...or Bobbys on the Beat...in Victorian times. One of the many words used to call the police and one that they actually like :D

Great pics as always! How neat that must have been for Conner too. I still remember when I was 10 and they came thru our town, my mom took us kids to watch. Something he will remember forever.

He was very impressed but wouldnt stand with the torch bearers (sp) for a picture too embarrassed I suppose :D

Amongst others there was Sir Bobby Charlton who carried it a short distance.

If you go to the London 2012 website and click torch relay...you can navigate through and search all the torch bearers for different areas and when it will be there :D

Very great pics, Angie. You got a very close up shot of that torch bearer too.

When the Olympics came to LA in 1984 I remember seeing the runner w/the torch coming thru our town too--so exciting!!
