Guinness
As u guys know a few weeks ago we went to the vets as Guinness had some scabbing and was losing some hair in those spots and the vet gave him some meds and special medical shampoo. Kinda cleared up but is now coming back. Well tonight three hours after eating Guinness puked all over and then on the way outside poked again and then went dead weight on the ground. Took us 10 mins to get him in. Now 30 mins later he is just laying on the coach and parts of his face is dark red. He has no real energy and pretty lethargic. Read signs of bloat and his stomach doesnt seem hard, his breathing isn't any shallower than normal, and he puked, not gagged and was unable too. So I feel better that if may not be bloat but the 24 hr vet gas already been called in case I have to bring the guy in. He has a regular vet.visit on Saturday, but if he is same way tomorrow he is going in on an emergency.

OMG.. so scary.. I'd be at the 24 hr vet already! Does he have any known allergies?

No known allergies and only thing he ate all day was his normal food and some carrots which is a normal treat for him

Hopefully it is nothing serous and he just has an upset tummy. If you haven;t done so... think about doing an allergy screening while at the vet (blood test =$150) it solved a lot of issues we were having with our boy.

Poor Guinness. His symptoms would have me very worried. Glad you gave the emergency vet a head's up already. Could it have been food poisoning? his stools okay? please keep us posted on his progress.

I would be so very worried. do you have a stethoscope at the house to listen to his heart and monitor his heart rate? Is he drinking? The puking doesn't make me as worried as the dropping down and lethargic demeanor. Hugs to him.

Oh no..my sweet Guinness...I'm with Bellas mom..the lethargy would worry me more too. I have read on here about bullies who barf and then pass out..something to do with their trachea...I'm afraid I'd be lights and sirens to the emergency vet! But I've been known to panic...poor baby.

He hasn't puked now for about an hour and just for up off the couch and drank some water from his bowl and is walking around. So my anxiety is decreasing some.
