oh man when it comes to snakes I know that first hand, my fiance has over 40 and were breeding them right now, but I hear so many stories of people getting a snake and not realizing how big they get and then they just dont know what to do with them so they either kill them, or let them go, people dont do research at all. I did so much research when I got rambo, and I'm still learning as I go, because one thing I didnt know was that you had to clean their paws, because its so deep they cant reach into it and clean themselves, so here i am fighting a blister everyday haha I wish people would do they research before getting a pet, each dog is known for different tempermants and people need to be aware of that.

I saw a news article earlier today from San Fransisco . Seems a man came home to find his pregnant wife had been mauled to death by one of their Pit Bulls.
Police say he found the Pit covered in her blood standing over her body.
What a horrible thing to happen and my heart truly goes out to him and his deceased wife and child, what a horrendous way to die.
I know of a Bully that have had to be removed form a home and put under due to serious aggressive behavior that was a threat to the owners . They were an elderly couple and set no limits or boundaries on their Bully and t took complete control of their home and them. And I know of another that was basically kept outdoors in a cage that became so aggresive at anyone that approached it was put down. Its really a crying shame . Bully's are by nature gentle dogs BUT if they ever are allowed to get a taste of what they are capable of then you have the possiblity of having a problem dog on your hands real quick. My friend who gave me Pepper told me of a friend of his that had a Bully. An guy he knew had a Rottweiler that he was showboating about as being a bada$$. He tried to get his Rotty to mess with the other guys Bully despite the owner telling him to stop, he told him he did not want to see his Rotty get hurt or killed. \
Well , the guy thought that was funny and put his Rott on the fellows Bully and gave it "the Command" . That Bully got the dog by the throat and killed that Rottweiler in less than 30 seconds. Yup killed that Rott DEAD.
Anyway my friend said the guys Bully was never the same. It got a taste of what it was capable of and became increasingly aggresive to other dogs that he had to put it to sleep.
Bully's are great ,gentle and Extremely intelligent dogs that over the years the aggresivness in them has to bred to be deep in the subconcious but let them get a taste of that power.......

Yes, so so sad! I have seen some aggressive rotties and pits, but have owned pits and know what snugglebugs they are if raised right. It infuriates me that people thinks of these animals this way. My friend had a rotiie that loved them and would never hurt them, but would literally jump for my throat every time I went around him. So sad how some people have ruined it for these breeds. In alabama, rotties are almost unheard of now days and pitts are everywhere....irresponsible breeders breeding for money, yet in the end 90% end up in animal shelters. And the worst part is, in Al, when a pit goes to a shelter, it dies! They do not even give them a chance to be adopted, because of their breed.......sooooo sad and pisses me off!!!

makes me sad too. i grew up with a rescued pitbull mix who was great, except with other dogs. i wouldn't mind owning a pit except for the fact that I do not yet own my own home and I'd NEVER find a place to rent with a pitbull.

yeah its horrible with the name pitts have. I have a blue nose right now, whos 8 months old, I tell ya pitt puppies sure are a pain in the arse haha but everyone who sees her, asks if were going to breed her, she would make beautiful puppies, yada yada yada. and we tell them everytime, no because their are soooo many pitt bulls out there who need adopting because people are so ignorant when it comes to breeding their animals. and just like a lot of other states, mine is no different when it comes to the rules of a pitt. Noone will rent to you if you have one, unless you manage to find a really good landlord somewhere. And just as of now, in my city, the rules are this.
Any dog that LOOKS like a pitt bull, so this can also be american bullies, must be fixed.
They MUST be on a 4 foot leash.
and if they end up ina pound, you have 3 days. I dont know if they have changed that one yet or not
and the dog must be on a leash at ALL times. so there goes the dog parks for them.

and if a cop saw any of those rules broken, they could take your dog no questions asked.
    its an abolsute shame.

did anyone find out which bully breed did this? you know the one that started the article here lol

I watch that show pit boss with Shorty. I feel bad for those dogs and the way they are mistreated. Just don't understand how someone can do that an animal. So was it confirmed that it was Rott instead of bully in the news article? That's just so sad

yeh, i don't think EB's would have the stamina to really fight a human - but you never know - stranger things have happened.

"Bulldogs" IS a general term - lots of different kinds of bulldogs. I have an American who is livestock and cat aggressive but ok with other dogs and people.

@Victor Y that is truly the most horrible thing to imagine. Makes you wonder where they went wrong with the training of this pup. Sad!
