Have you checked out his parents? Any health tests done? How is the breeder? What has he/she bred before? If so do they have any record of them? Do they health test before breeding? This puppy is not english bulldog judging by the colour.

Yes both parents are Akc registered. Full health check on the parents and the pup with no issues. The couple have been breeding since 2006. I don’t understand what you mean by not English bulldog by the color. Thanks for any help

Are there only certain colors for English bulldogs? Thanks

He's a sweet pup but since you ask: if you are after a pure bred English bulldog, check the breed standard on AKC's homepage: https://images.akc.org/pdf/breeds/standards/Bulldog.pdf
Colours are mentioned at the top of page two, I think.

You say 'the couple have been breeding since 2006' - surely not this pup's parents? Then they must be very old parents? 14 years old does not sound like an age you would breed a dog?

He looks like he might be mixed with a beagle, snout is longer, which isn’t a bad thing for breathing and ears are long too.
I have two friends with bulldog/beagle mix and they are fantastic dogs, on the healthy side and personality.

he is a beautiful boy

If you are looking for a purebred standard bulldog, this is not one. Check out the link provided to you. Another good resource for bulldogs is the Bulldog Club of America’s website.

This one has bulldog colours and looks more like an English bulldog to me. It looks like she will have a massive noserope! That is the skin fold above the nose and it's common that bulldogs have them. My Castor has quite a massive one so I know it's important to keep an eye under the skin fold so it doesn't get infected.

Make sure you see the parents and that there are papers. You said concerning the first pup that both parents were registered - it is really important that the pup too is registered since a pup would not be registered as an English bulldog if not both parents were registered as English bulldogs. That is how things work here, at least, and I assume the same applies in the US.

Make sure too that the breeder is serious. English bulldogs are a wonderful breed but there are health problems and breeders who are not serious may breed without considering health issues (breathing, allergies, etc.).

Good luck!

Kyle10 please make sure you do your research before you spend a lot of money on an English Bulldog (EBD). They require plenty of time, love, attention, and yes, money. They often have allergies and require high-quality food, and there are other health issues. Unfortunately, some breeders are only in it for the money, and they try to breed for unique colors so they can charge even more for their prized pups. Often these same unique puppies end up having serious health issues.

You are definitely in the right place to educate yourself on this funny, stubborn and loving breed!
