What the hell were they thinking flying a snub-nosed dog in those record-breaking temperatures? Complete idiots.

The airline should have known better too. Most airlines have temperature restrictions!

I donā€™t understand but there is no airlines flying these dogs but KLM. Iā€™ve done a lot of calls n all said no.. I only had Nyala back then. I basically wanted Nyala with me in the front. All airlines told me no flat nose in the seatings nor cargo nor nothing... Unless a small crate fits under the seat.

Why I started to drive across Canada so I can bring my Miss Muffet. Now I drive Mr n Miss Muffet. :)

Also @lalalopsie had to use KLM for Tank to move to Africa. Btw where is she? Havenā€™t seen her for a while...

When we moved from the UK and brought Chumly with us, we flew KLM via Amsterdam. Unfortunately, everything that could go wrong on that journey, did. It was a nightmare for Chumly from start to finish. I do not blame the airline for all of it though as that stuff happens. For example, a delay which messed up our connection, then the worst landing I have ever experienced in my life and poor Chumly was in the hold. It just didn't get better after that I'm sorry to say.
You would think there could be some better accommodation for pets apart from being in the hold, albeit a special compartment. More people are travelling with their animals now.

I have checked into that and have yet to find one. Why not, I wonder. It would make sense.

I also recall back home when I was working in the education field and there was a co-worker from Greece moving to Canada for work as he had a contract. They flew but their dog was going on them big cargo container boats crossing the ocean. Stops at all ports. We also had a group of grade 11 students traveling on these big cargos to travel the world during the summer. Trust me itā€™s not a cruise. Kids had to sleep in bunkers, eats with the guyā€™s working on the boat n had to help them too. Was a cheap way to see countries during summer break. :)
