Hi guys, i just adopted eggs last week. He is turning 2 years old this october but he is only 32lbs.
Do you think he will still widen? Is the size of his head and his chest width just right or a bit on the smaller end?

Can you post a photo from above, showing his waist? 32 lbs is not uncommon, there are bulldogs that are in that range, but seeing his waist line will tell

Can’t say much with that photo. You do have a few members with adult EB weighing 35-45lbs. Always better under weight than over. What is he eating? How much per day? Don’t forget you just adopted Eggsy. Btw Congrats n Thank you adopting your furball. You basically have NO clue what kind of history on him. Unless you knew the owners... you’re going to have to start getting to know him, his likes n dislike etc.

Here are photos of the waist! I shifted to him to a 5 star rated grain free dog food salmon and trout and he is being free fed. He is with me for 4 days now.

Nutram total grain free.
Diaper is because his stool was very soft and poops about every 2 hours. Now its way better though. Thanks to nutram. He really likes it also too. He eats around 3 cups per day.

That’s a solid Canadian dog food company. Been around for decades. Just be careful with the word “meal” like example chicken meal or beef meal or fish meal...meal is a 300% protein. A lot of dog food contains “ meal” . Too much protein will cause diarrhea.

My 18months white face Duke has like yours very slim waist but weighs 50lbs. My 3yr old brindle, Nyala “had” a slim waist but now that she’s 3, her chest has widened enormously these pass 6months... so yes around 3yrs old you’ll see the chest widen a lot.

thank you helsonwheels! My dog really loves nutram grain free. The protein content for the salmon and trout is 36%. It that good?

Looks good, but hard to tell since he is stretched out. The soft poo was probably due to other food not agreeing with him or eating too much.
